Starbucks Reserve Colombia Nariño Granos De Esperanza Coffee Review

Holy shit this coffee. Using rare coffee beans always makes for a great day. Whether you’re a fan of Starbucks or not, these beans are amazing. It's also really easy to get them at any Starbucks Reserve location. Just so you know, this isn't a sponsored message.

These coffee beans are hard to find online, so it's best to visit your local Starbucks. If they don’t have them, the baristas can likely tell you if another nearby Starbucks does.

This Colombian coffee was truly amazing. A treat. Not to say I knew it would be special, but the flavor notes on this coffee are divine.

This roast was spectacular.

REVIEW

It is not really fair to start testing this roast knowing it is going to be exceptional, but I did. All of those chocolate notes with salted caramel and pistachio. Come on. This roast wins. It was amazing.

When I opened the bag I knew this was a special roast. When you get this roast, you’ll know it is special when you smell it. It is one of the Reserve roasts that just by the scent you know it is special.

According to Starbucks, this coffee has “nutty and cocoa-toned highlight notes of pistachio, salted caramel and baking chocolate.”

In certain regards this roast tasted more like chocolate milk than coffee. It is that good. I used the beans from this roast to make Americanos (iced and hot), cappuccino, latte, flat white, cold brew, and an affogato. All were delightful.

Should you try this coffee? Yes. Absolutely so. After trying it for a few drinks I went back and bought 5 more bags.
